The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to launch its 2024 manifesto, themed “Change To Reset Ghana”, today, Saturday, August 24, at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium, University of Education, Winneba, Central Region. The event, scheduled for 12 noon, features flagbearer John Dramani Mahama as Special Guest, alongside running mate Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

Attendees include National Executive Committee members, Council of Elders, NDC MPs, Parliamentary Candidates, and distinguished guests from the diplomatic corps, clergy, traditional authorities, civil society organisations, academia, labour organisations, creative arts, and more.

The planning committee, announced earlier by the NDC for the successful organization of the Manifesto Launch, consisted of Dr Peter Boamah Otokunor (Director of Interparty and Civil Society Relations of the NDC) — Chairman; Barbara Serwaa Asamoah (Deputy General Secretary) —member and Sammy Gyamfi (Communications Officer) — member.

The other members are Elikem Kotoko (Deputy National Organiser), Ludwig Hlordze (Director, Protocol and Logistics), Nana Oye-Bampoe (Secretary to the Manifesto Committee), Beatrice Annan (Deputy Spokesperson for the John Mahama Campaign), Elvis Afriyie Ankrah (former Minister of Sports) and Dr Bernadette Hoffman.

Former President John Dramani Mahama stated that the NDC’s 2024 manifesto launch marks the first step towards liberating Ghana from long-standing challenges. He emphasized that it also marks “the first step towards resetting our dear nation, Ghana.”

In a brief promotional video released on Friday, August 23, Mahama said: “Tomorrow, we take the first step towards resetting our dear nation Ghana. We face challenges that have held us back for too long, but now it’s time to build the Ghana we all want together. Join me in Winneba, Central region, as I unveil a vision for our future that will bring justice, jobs, and prosperity to every corner of our beloved nation, Ghana. Tomorrow, we begin the journey together.”
