According to the GES, the exercise covers promotions to the ranks of Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, and Principal Superintendent. Only teachers who have served the required number of years in their current positions will be considered.

Applicants are required to submit their applications exclusively online via bit.ly/gespromotions2025 or by scanning the official QR code provided. Each applicant must upload a passport-size photograph, their last promotion or appointment letter, and their highest academic certificate. All supporting documents must be in PDF format, while the photo must be in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format.
GES has cautioned that late applications or submissions outside the official portal will not be accepted. This year’s promotion exercise, the Service noted, is aimed at ensuring fairness, transparency, and merit-based progression within the teaching profession.
