Man Dies After Reportedly Jumping from Dimples Overpass in Accra
A man has died after reportedly jumping from the Dimples Overpass near the Achimota Roundabout on the N1 Highway in Accra on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred in the late afternoon, leaving the victim lying motionless on the road beneath the overpass. He was described as wearing denim trousers and a white long-sleeved shirt. Bystanders covered his face with leaves as a crowd gathered at the scene.
Police officers were spotted interviewing witnesses shortly after the incident, but an official statement from the authorities is yet to be released. The man’s identity has not been made public, and the circumstances leading to the fall remain unclear.
The location, close to the MultiChoice Ghana office, saw traffic slow as emergency services responded. Reports from Adom Online, Pulse Ghana, and MyJoyOnline all confirmed the fatality, noting that investigations are underway.
