Acting National Service Authority Director-General Felix Gyamfi Reassigned to Finance Ministry
Felix Gyamfi, the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance, effective immediately.
The transfer, occurring just seven months after Mr. Gyamfi’s appointment in January 2025, has triggered significant discussion within public service circles due to its sudden nature.
No official reason has been provided by the President for the reassignment, but sources within the Jubilee House suggest it is part of a wider administrative reshuffle aimed at bolstering the economic management team.
According to media reports, delays in the deployment of new national service personnel may have influenced the decision, particularly following an audit of the NSA’s online deployment system.
Tensions between Mr. Gyamfi and his supervising Minister, George Opare Addo, reportedly intensified due to a policy disagreement.
While Mr. Gyamfi advocated for enhancing the existing deployment system, the Minister for Youth Development is said to support the development of a new portal to address systemic inefficiencies.
